Where Are You?

Welcome to Faith Connections Friday!

We are in a series for the next several weeks focusing on Psalm 119. If you would like to read ahead, read the entire psalm or a section each week. We are so glad you are here and hope you enjoy the series! Thank you!

Do you enjoy playing games where you search for hidden words, objects, or people?

It’s the thrilling challenge of seeking something that is hidden. And then there’s the sense of accomplishment when you find it!

Word searches. Finding words from a list found across a row, up or down a column, or diagonally.

“I Spy” and “Where’s Waldo?” Objects or Waldo hiding in a crowd of people, scenes, patterns, and colors that are similar. (If you like a challenge, they range in levels of difficulty,)

Of course, we cannot omit the obvious beloved childhood game of “Hide and Seek.” Children find quiet places that make it hard for those who seek them to find them. Toddlers may even cover themselves with a blanket hoping they would be invisible to the seeker.

This week’s focus is Psalm 119:113-120.

In verse 114, the psalmist acknowledges God as his hiding place. He is confident and knows that that he can approach God and be safe. Why? Because God is a trustworthy protector.

What is so precious is that we don’t have to wait until we are afraid. We can go to God 24/7. He’s always ready to hear our voice talking to Him like a best friend. He loves us so much and wants to spend time with us.

He is our hiding place and deliverer (Psalm 32:7, NKJV; Psalm 46:1, NKJV; Psalm 61:4, NKJV).

He’s trustworthy, safe, and a great protector (Psalm 62:8, NKJV; Psalm 91:1-4, NKJV).

Faith Connections Challenge: Make it a practice to go to God anytime. He’s there waiting for you and sees you.
