Welcome to Connections2Excellence! Have an extraordinary day!
When I was growing up, my mother would wake us up with her melodious singing. “Good morning! Time to rise and shine! Wake up!” (Don’t you love it when someone does that for you?—Not!) Of course, we would roll over, pull the covers over our heads, and try to go back to sleep, knowing that a few minutes later she would return.

Some people need prompts to get moving. Many use man-made clocks, alarm clocks, or phone apps. Some choose paper calendars for manually-recorded entries. And others use computer-generated reminders or pop-up tasks to stay on track. In whatever form selected, a type of clock alerts us so we are ready to move to the next event. What do you need to encourage you to get up and go? Is it the motivation that you must?
What if we look forward to the day and its opportunities? Benjamin Franklin said, “Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.” We don’t want to sleep through opportunities and miss the adventure. We’ve been given a new day–Let’s seize the day and look forward to the day with anticipation!
Our Connections Challenge: Intentionally look for opportunities to bless someone. See challenges as growth opportunities.
