What Are We Going to Do Today, Lord?

Welcome to Faith Connections Friday!

Do you look forward to each day with anticipation?

Source: Personal

What if we began each day with, “What are we going to do today, Lord?” What if we trained our mind to look for Him? His work. His beauty. His reflection. His blessing. His protection. His provision. His presence.

A friend recently met with a dying relative and shared how God changed his life. He did not want to miss an opportunity for his relative to know God’s salvation and love. The time we have in our earthly bodies is short, and we are not promised tomorrow (James‬ ‭4:14‬; Psalms‬ ‭90:10, 12‬‬). The lesson: May we be sensitive and make the most of every opportunity, not missing what God is doing today.

Our Faith Connection Challenge: Begin a practice of recording how you see God each day or sense His presence. Thank Him for at least three of these things.

  1. Lisa,
I love how you suggest a practical application at the end of a devotional. I have done the same in my devotional “Dare to Walk on Water” series. If you would like to read my blog on Christian Creativity send me an email address. I would send back a link to The Bible Story Family podcast for children as well as my Manifesto of Christian Creativity. It is great to have you in my class at Liberty.
