Several years ago, we visited the beautiful Muir Woods in California. The majestic redwoods raising their branches to the sky is a breathtaking sight. Our next road trip leads us to the beautiful northwest. One of our stops may be to see the famous Tree of Life in Washington. Though this unique and aged beauty is expected to soon succumb to the sea, it continues to live as a spectacular wonder.

What makes these trees so captivating? They are survivors. They endure storms. When the winds or waters rise, they stand firm and secure. Though time eventually takes its toll, its roots or foundation is the memorial of its life.
What can we learn from these trees? Each of us experiences difficult and challenging seasons. We experience loss, financial or health challenges, or difficult relationships. The good news is that it will pass. We learn what to do and what not to do. We learn and grow, which gives us strength to endure and survive.
Connections Challenge: When you go through a rough season, journal what you are feeling and learning. Build relationships. Learn a new hobby or take a fun class. Read some great books. Listen to podcasts that inspire you. Be the inspiring wonder to others.
