Welcome to Faith Connections Friday!
We are in a series for the next several weeks focusing on Psalm 119. If you would like to read ahead, read the entire psalm or a section each week. We are so glad you are here and hope you enjoy the series! Thank you!
On a recent road trip, my husband and I wanted to see the sunrise at Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. We had to get there early to enter the park and hike to the site before the event. Since it was dark, we wore headlamps to show us where we were going. We arrived in time to see this spectacular vision.

Our focus this week is Psalm 119:105-112.
The psalmist continually expresses his commitment and trust in God’s Word. He knows that God will give him as much light, or direction, that he needs to live each day.
We see His provision and direction in other passages.
* God tells us the way to walk (Isaiah 30:21, NKJV).
* God directs our path as we trust Him (Proverbs 3:5-6, NKJV).
* God provides our daily food (Exodus 16:4, NKJV; Matthew 6:11, NKJV).
* God gives us what we need to grow in godliness (2 Peter 1:2-7, AMP).
* God is faithfully completing the work He is doing in each of us (Philippians 1:6, NLT).
* God is in the process of transforming us to reflect His Son, Jesus (Romans 8:29, NLT).
These passages show us that God gives exactly what we need at the right time and just enough light to keep us on the path. That light is the evidence of His love and glory.
“The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day.”
Proverbs 4:18 NLT
Faith Connections Challenge: Plan to get up early to experience and enjoy the magnificent beauty and glory of a sunrise. Thank God for this wonderful gift.
