Welcome to Faith Connections Friday!
Start with a story to grab the attention of, connect to, and engage with the target audience. That is critical standard advice for communicators.
My daughter-in-love asked us to recommend books to read to our three-year old grandson about the true meaning of Christmas. We gave a few suggestions that he may enjoy while learning about the birth of Jesus. Books with colorful pictures to appeal to his visual learning and simplistic language that help his precious mind best learn the Christmas story.

Of course, who is the greatest storyteller of all time? Jesus. He speaks in parables, or stories, to get the attention of His audience to communicate a lesson. He invites us to learn about Him by teaching about His character and godly living. He creatively connects to our finite minds so we can grasp what He is saying. Likewise, as we learn, we can teach others about God and how we can live in a way that honors Him.
Faith Connections Challenge: Take some time reading the Holy Bible. If you are new to reading the Bible, start by reading the gospel of John (New Testament). It is an easy read full of stories that grab your attention and invite you to keep reading and learning.
