Some days wearing the old clothes just feels so good. The holey t-shirt. The oversized sweatshirt. The ragged jeans. The worn-out slippers. So cozy and comfortable. The familiar scent. The sentimental memories. Just makes you feel so warm and comfy.

Then the day comes when you have to make a decision to get rid of the old garment. It’s like losing a part of you. Yet, you know it has to be done. It has to go away. For good. If you don’t, you can’t move on to the best clothes.
Have you been there? Well, it’s time. We have to choose get rid of the old and replace it with the new.
What are the best garments? The garment of salvation and the robe of righteousness (Isaiah 61:10). Colossians lists several more we get to wear.
Our Faith Connections Challenge: Are there any “garments” you would like to put away? Select one or more of the qualities listed in Colossians, and focus on developing the quality this week.
