Disguised Blessings

Welcome to Faith Connection Friday as we celebrate this beautiful Thanksgiving season!

This season, our minds turn toward the blessings we have received in our lives. The perceived small blessings and the more evident.

As we ponder the blessings we have received, may we not forget the Giver of those blessings, our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. We are blessed more than we can fathom because of His unconditional and inexhaustible love for us.

The song, “Blessings” by Laura Story, is a beautiful reminder of those blessings we may not readily recognize. This song has special meaning to me personally, as it was used to help me through a difficult season of life. Sometimes our blessings are mercies in disguise. Even through pain, they are evidence of God’s precious and abundant love.

It is my prayer that you are refreshed and encouraged by the words of this beautiful song. May you and your family have a very blessed Thanksgiving!

Lord, I thank You for the abundant blessings You bestow upon us each day. May I not forget, even in pain, Your blessings can be mercies in disguise. Father, for what I am about to receive, may I be truly grateful. In Your most beautiful name I pray, Amen.
