This week we start a new year. We reflect, celebrate, and press forward. Do you have any new goals for the new year?

In reflecting on 2025, what lessons did you learn? What are your accomplishments and celebrations?
This year, I learned to appreciate opportunities of continuous learning. There is such great satisfaction in learning new things. A bonus is being recognized for such an accomplishment. For example, as a reward for completing a graduate degree, my husband and I took a road trip to the national parks in Wyoming and Montana. The value of a diploma and the richness of exploring and learning about new places together are treasures.
Though my formal education is complete, it does not mean I can cease learning. Late this year, I revived this blog and returned to teaching a women’s Bible study at church. We are planning a trip to explore the Washington national parks in 2026. Who knows what other learning opportunities may arise during 2026!
Connections Challenge: In preparing for the new year, take time to reflect on what lessons you learned and celebrate your accomplishments. Then, take time to set goals and the steps to achieve those goals.
