Welcome to Faith Connections Friday!
We are in a series for the next several weeks focusing on Psalm 119. If you would like to read ahead, read the entire psalm or a section each week. We are so glad you are here and hope you enjoy the series! Thank you!
Lucy is normally quiet and carefully considers her responses. She is present in a meeting when her team is verbally attacked. The accusations are false. She respectfully speaks up, defends the team, and corrects the misinformation.
Have you ever experienced a situation in which you were surprisingly bold?
In Psalm 119:41-48, the psalmist is dedicated to seeking God’s wisdom and guidance. He wants to confidently answer when people come against him. He wants to boldly share God’s love and goodness.
There are certainly times when we encounter situations where we must be as bold as a lion, especially if there is a misunderstanding (Proverbs 28:1). It is the confidence from a relationship with God and His Word that gives us the boldness (Psalm 138:3).
Like the psalmist, may we have the confidence and boldness to be a living testimony of God’s love and faithfulness.
Faith Connections Challenge: As you read the passage, ask God to give you godly boldness when encountering challenges or opportunities to share your faith. Be as bold as a lion!
