Welcome to Faith Connections Friday!
What does it take to get your attention?
Obviously, we regularly encounter warning announcements, red lights, sirens, health issues, or poor grades that get our attention.

There are also obvious examples from the Bible that get attention. Angels visit the shepherds announcing the birth of Jesus, the Savior of the world. Jesus performs miracles during His ministry on earth. Jesus appears to numerous followers after His resurrection.
Scripture calls for our attention by reminding us of the importance of hearing, listening, and obeying God’s Word. It instructs us how to walk the path He wants us to follow (Isaiah 30:21). It describes the abundant benefits of being attentive to and following God’s Word. In Joshua 1:7-9, the Scripture says that in doing so, you receive blessings, success, and the assurance of God’s presence.
Reading and meditating on God’s Word are practices that are immensely rewarding. It deserves our devoted attention and changes lives for eternity.
Faith Connections Challenge: Spend some time reading or listening to God’s Word. Think about the words. How can you apply the words to your life? How are you challenged to respond?
