Reflecting Kindness

As we read Scripture, we recognize that God’s character is kindness. Psalm 145 records a beautiful description of God’s kindness. His patience, faithfulness, provision, and trustworthiness are examples of His kindness. Verse 17 of Psalm 145 summarizes it perfectly by stating that His kindness is His character. It is who He is.

Paul writes in Galatians 5:22 that kindness is a fruit of the Holy Spirit’s presence and activity in a Christian’s life. Kindness is evident by the person who willingly shows kindness and thinks more of others.

Faith Connections Challenge: Kindness is a characteristic of God. As the Holy Spirit works in a Christian’s life, they reflect kindness. What are some ways you can demonstrate simple kindness to another person this week? Be encouraged that when you do, you are reflecting Christ.
