Creative Connections

Welcome to Faith Connections Friday!

We recognize the many ways the world and people connect. There is a multitude of connections with people, nature, arts, entertainment, recreation, etc. How can we connect these to our faith?

What are some creative ways that God makes connections? It may seem obvious when we read stories in the Bible or just enjoy creation. The ways He connects with people and nature show His compassion and authority.

For example, God breathed life into man when He created him from the dust of the earth (Genesis 2:7). He led the Israelites through the wilderness by a cloud and fire and provided their food with manna (Exodus 13:21-22; 16:4, 14-36). He parted the Red Sea so they could walk on dry ground to the other side (Exodus 14:13-31).

Jesus used the power of stories to connect with the people and explain how to live fully. He connected to nature by calming a storm and walking on water (Matthew 14:22-33). He healed the woman with a bleeding condition when all she did was touch the hem of his garment (Mark 5:24-34). Even at His death and resurrection, He reconnected God and man by conquering sin and death (Matthew 27:45-66; 28:1-10).

Faith Connections Challenge: Take time to read some of these and other amazing stories in the Bible. Think about the ways God connects to us. Thank Him for the creative ways He shows His love for us through connections.

If you do not have a Bible, I recommend downloading the YouVersion Bible app available on your mobile device.
